Die City bietet eine abwechslungsreiche Club- und Kneipenszene, eine erhabene Architektur, kulturellen Reichtum und modernen Lifestyle, ist dabei aber immer ihren Wurzeln treu geblieben. Schlie\u00dflich machen die charmante Innenstadt, die unz\u00e4hligen Br\u00fccken und Grachten sowie die romantischen Giebelh\u00e4user den besonderen Reiz von Amsterdam aus, der Besucher aus aller Welt in Scharen anzieht. Allen voran aber an Fahrr\u00e4der \u2013 <strong>DAS Verkehrsmittel Nummer Eins in der niederl\u00e4ndischen Metropole.<\/strong> In kaum einer anderen Stadt der Welt wird so viel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fahrrad-xxl.de\/fahrraeder\/\">Fahrrad<\/a> gefahren wie in Amsterdam, und quer durch die City zieht sich ein Netz von Fahrradwegen, das mehr als 500 km umfasst. Aktuellen Sch\u00e4tzungen zufolge gibt es in Amsterdam <strong>ca. 880.000 Fahrr\u00e4der<\/strong>. F\u00fcr die Bewohner und Besucher der Metropole stellt das Bike ein \u00e4u\u00dferst flexibles und schnelles Fortbewegungsmittel dar, mit dem man h\u00e4ufig sogar besser vorankommt als mit dem Auto. Die Amsterdamer bringen hiermit ihre Kinder zur Schule, erledigen ihre Eink\u00e4ufe oder fahren damit zu ihrem Arbeitsplatz. Nicht selten sieht man auch Polizisten oder Kuriere auf einem Drahtesel.<\/p>\n<p>Fahrr\u00e4der kann man in der gesamten Stadt mieten. Naturgem\u00e4\u00df befinden sich die meisten Fahrradverleihe im umliegenden Gebiet des Hauptbahnhofs sowie am bekannten Dam Square. Der durchschnittliche Tagespreis f\u00fcr die Fahrradnutzung liegt bei 8-10 Euro. Zur Auswahl stehen dabei unter anderem City-Bikes, Tandems, Kinderr\u00e4der, Lastenr\u00e4der und E-Bikes. Die Br\u00fccke, die \u00fcber den Amsterdam-Rhein-Kanal f\u00fchrt, besitzt eine Gesamtl\u00e4nge von 780 Metern. Ihr Namensgeber war der Schriftsteller Jan Hendrik Frederik Gr\u00f6nloh, der unter dem Pseudonym Nescio arbeitete.<\/p>\n<p>Grunds\u00e4tzlich besteht in Amsterdam die M\u00f6glichkeit, Fahrr\u00e4der auf den F\u00e4hrverbindungen \u00fcber das IJmeer kostenlos mitzuf\u00fchren. Wer Fahrr\u00e4der per Zug oder Metro transportieren m\u00f6chte, der ben\u00f6tigt ein Extraticket. Dagegen ist die Fahrradmitnahme in Bussen sowie Stra\u00dfenbahnen (Trams) verboten.<\/p>\n<p>Wer sich am Hauptbahnhof befindet, wird den sicherlich spektakul\u00e4rsten Fahrradstellplatz von Amsterdam zu Gesicht bekommen. Dabei handelt es sich um eine dreist\u00f6ckige \u201emulti-level\u201c Konstruktion, die Platz f\u00fcr ungef\u00e4hr 2.500 Fahrr\u00e4der bietet und st\u00e4ndig bewacht ist.<\/p>\n<p>Achtung: Sie m\u00fcssen beim Linksabbiegen mit dem Fahrrad dem geradeaus fahrenden Verkehr hinter und vor Ihnen die Vorfahrt gew\u00e4hren und vor dem Abbiegen per Hand die Richtung anzeigen. Geben Sie Acht, dass Sie dabei nicht in die Stra\u00dfenbahnschienen geraten. Hier besteht eine hohe Unfallgefahr!<\/p>\n<p>Aufgrund des gro\u00dfen Fahrradaufkommens geh\u00f6rt die Niederlande leider auch zu den Spitzenreitern beim Thema Fahrraddiebstahl. J\u00e4hrlich werden in den Niederlanden rund 900.000 Fahrr\u00e4der gestohlen. Trotz zahlreicher Ma\u00dfnahmen, die in den 90er Jahren initiiert wurden, ist der Fahrraddiebstahl gerade in Amsterdam immer noch ein gro\u00dfes Problem.
